Woodcut relief print on Thai Mulberry paper

8" x 11"

This design is inspired by the systematic racism that black and latino men and women experience everyday. Reaching up and out despite the constraints. This is not something I'll ever be able to fully understand. I grew up in a small town in the south where racism still exists in both small and large accounts. Change starts with discussion.

Woodcut relief print on Thai Mulberry paper

8" x 11"

This design is a response to the gun violence we now see everyday. It's starting to become so commonplace, but having lost someone close to the barrel of a gun, I know how traumatic experiencing something so violent. It sends your life into a multitude of pieces. Like this fractured bouquet of flowers.

Woodcut Print on Thai Mulberry Paper

9.2" x 10.2 "

I used black hands because they are beautiful. In light of our societies continuous struggle with police violence on people of color, it felt fitting to use a cat's cradle, which is a puzzle that leads you into a trap. So in honor of Alton Sterling and Philando Castile I'm donating 25% of my sales to the Black Lives Matter movement.
